For some time now, AAPP ancillary files, test cases, etc., have been made available on a EUMETSAT ftp site:
ftp://ftp.eumetsat.int/pub/NWPSAF/aapp_data_files/
You may have noticed that some browsers do not allow you to see files posted on an ftp site. To alleviate this problem, and to keep all the files in one place, I have copied all the files over to a new location on the NWP SAF web site:
https://nwp-saf.eumetsat.int/downloads/aapp_data_files/
Please start to use this location in preference to the ftp location. This means that you will have to pick up new versions of scripts: install_aapp8.sh, get_atovs_cal_files.sh and get_aux_files.sh. We will keep the ftp site open for now.
