When running the noaa19 test with MAIA I get this error
Do you know why it looks for this txt file and why I might be missing it?

here is an extract of the error message

    maia4_Avhrr
maia4_Avhrr ERROR : Cloud Mask has not been made

AAPP_8.7/AAPP/bin/maia4_Avhrr[229]: file_CT_name.txt: cannot open [No such file or directory]
mv: missing destination file operand after ‘maiaCT_out.h5’
Try ‘mv –help’ for more information.
rm: cannot remove ‘file_CT_name.txt’: No such file or directory

    Dear Caroline,

The “file_CT_name.txt” is a temporary file, generated by MAIA4, containing that name of the hdf5 file that would have been produced if MAIA4 had run successfully. But in your case it did not run. I would expect that the reason for the error would be found further up in the diagnostic output. Can you see anything?

What operating system are you using? Coincidentally, another user has just reported that Ubuntu does not install zlib by default, so hdf5 is bu8ilt without support for compression and maia4 fails. That’s the sort of issue that can arise.

    Regards,

    Nigel
