If you are a regular user of OPS-LRS you will probably have encountered occasional passes for which the processing fails due to bad data at the start of the acquisition. We have been trying to find workarounds for this problem, and now have something that works for all the test cases that we have been experimenting with. We would now like to know whether it works more widely.

I have posted two scripts on the ftp site: iasi_l0_qc.ksh and skip_mdr_advice.pl. You can download these scripts, give them execute permission and move them to a directory that is accessible via PATH. You will also need to install EUMETSAT’s kai software. Full instructions are provided in the header of iasi_l0_qc.ksh.

Please let us know your findings. (Either email me or create a ticket).

    Nigel
