Data Reception Routes
This page summarises the routes via which data are received at DWD and MetOffice respectively. For some data types different reception routes are available and used at DWD and the MetOffice. The table indicates both main data reception route (in green) and a possible secondary reception route (in blue) through which data may be received. If data arriving via the secondary channel happen to arrive faster than the same data via the main channel (e.g. due to delays), these earlier data will enter the data base and will be used in the monitoring statistics. Threfore, the monitoring statistics do not always reflect the reception conditions via the main channel.
