    Dear OPS-LRS users,

    EUMETSAT plans to update the on-board processing to improve the non-linearity correction for IASI-B. The improvement
    depends on the wavenumber and on the scene temperature but the main effect will be seen in band 1, for cold
    scenes. For IASI-B, it can reach an improvement of 0.2K (NedT at 280K).

    OPS-LRS users need to install the new BRD file, IASI_BRD_xx_M01_20170701000000Z_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxZ_20170629135844Z_IAST_0000000013, which can be found as usual at http://nwp-saf.eumetsat.int/downloads/aapp_data_files/OPS-LRS/aux_data/.

    The new file needs to be installed before August 2nd, 2017, which is the date when EUMETSAT plan to update the on-board processing (“TOP”). OPS-LRS will automatically pick up the new file when it is needed.
