    EUMETSAT have released configuration files for IASI on Metop-C, which will allow you to run OPS-LRS. You can find them in the usual place:

  • ftp://ftp.eumetsat.int/pub/NWPSAF/aapp_data_files/OPS-LRS/aux_data/

    • Look for the BRD, GRD and ODB files named *M03*.

    If you are using the download script get_aux_files.sh (available in the same directory), you can download the files automatically. There are two BRD files, one valid before 16 May and one valid after. By default, get_aux_files.sh will download the second BRD file. If you want to get the first file, run the script again, specifying “-d 20190501”.

    Note that the instrument will be in external calibration mode from 12:00UTC on 15 May to 12:00UTC on 16 May.

Just to add: the ftp site also has ENG, VER, CTX, 1A, 1B and 1C files for M03. The script will automatically download these.

A further announcement from EUMETSAT:

A decontamination of Metop-C IASI will be performed from 27/05/2019 09:39 UTC to 03/06/2019 09:23 UTC. No Metop-C IASI data will be available during this period.
