    There have been no Multi Mission Administration Messages (MMAMs) for Metop-B since 2025/10/09, either via EUMETSAT UNS web page or via the HKTM packets in direct broadcast. If you are using the Metopizer tool ccsds_to_l0 with the option “-u MMAM”, it will fail to generate any L0 files. It is possible to run ccsds_to_l0 without this option but there may be some degradation in the accuracy of the time stamps, and hence the geolocation. Also, you will need to re-name the resulting L0 files (e.g. type strings $file | head -1 | awk '{print $3}' to get the proper file name).

    EUMETSAT are aware of the issue.

    Message from EUMETSAT: “We would like to confirm that there is currently an issue affecting the Metop-B MMAM generation since last Friday. We are working on the fix, we will let you know as soon as it is resolved.”
