IASI config files, Jan 2022

New BRD files are available for IASI on Metop-B and Metop-C. You can find them as usual at https://nwp-saf.eumetsat.int/downloads/aapp_data_files/OPS-LRS/aux_data/. The easiest way to download them is to use the “get_aux_files.sh” script. The files are:

IASI_BRD_xx_M01_20220115000000Z_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxZ_20211203134946Z_IAST_0000000019

IASI_BRD_xx_M03_20220115000000Z_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxZ_20211203132313Z_IAST_0000000016

This is a routine update to implement new scan mirror reflectivity tables.

EUMETSAT plan to implement these updates in the global processor on 24th Jan for Metop-B and 25th Jan for Metop-C.

Just to clarify – although the impact of these changes is small, you do need to download the new files, otherwise OPS-LRS will fail.
