    Dear RTTOV,
    I am Sumegha. A Master’s student from India.
    I am working on a project that requires to output Planck source function and SSA for calculation purposes. Can RTTOV be used to output the Planck Source function and SSA for given atmospheric profiles?

    Hi Sumegha,

    Could you be more specific: the Planck source function corresponding to which temperature? And which single scattering albedo? Are you running microwave or infrared scattering simulations?

    The short answer is that RTTOV probably does not output what you require, but it might be relatively easy to calculate.
