BUFRDC/EMOSLIB dependencies?

    Hi!

    AAPP requires either BUFRDC or EMOSLIB. I am about to make a new build of AAPP for our operations. (We currently run 8.11 on RHEL8, and need to upgrade to RHEL9.) I see that both BUFRDC and EMOSLIB are discontinued by ECMWF!? And the BUFRDC link at ECMWF is dead! What do you recommend?

    Sorry, the dead-link issue is gone, not sure what happened, but I see the BUFRDC software page at ECMWF now. But question is still valid I would say.

    Sorry Adam, didn’t see these questions. It’s much better to use the NWP SAF Helpdesk, you are guaranteed a response.

    AAPP doesn’t require BUFRCD/EMOSLIB, it’s quite OK to build without. The only thing you will lose is access to one or two of the BUFR encoding utlities that are Met Office specific and don’t work with ecCodes. Everything else can be done with ecCodes.
