1. Due to a bug, SDP crashes in the exceptional case that a batch in 2DVAR contains only rain-flagged cells. This bug will be fixed in SDP2.0.

1. SDP again installs under the latest version of Cygwin, though not entirely smoothly: the installation procedure frequently breaks down. Some persistence helps - just restart the installation procedure by typing "InstallSDP again" until the installation succeeds. This may require three or more tries. The problem is in the make system of the ECMWF BUFR library.

1. SDP does not install correctly under Cygwin on a windows PC when using the most recent version of Cygwin. The problem occurred somewhere in the summer of 2006 and is most likely due to a change in Cygwin. The problem is brought to the attention of the Cygwin community.
2. The 2DVAR code contains several bugs. These are solved in version 1.4.

1. The GNU g95 compiler issues a considerable number of warning errors, mainly caused by dead code. These warnings can be neglected. Fixed in v1.3.
