Updates from the previous version, v12.1, include the option to run the MFASIS fast visible cloud parameterisation, new visible\/IR cloud liquid water optical properties expressed in terms of particle size, RTTOV-SCATT updates (calculations in terms of radiance instead of brightness temperature, optional output data enabling dynamic all-sky emissivity retrievals, new optical properties for cloud liquid water and non-spherical particles), a new solar sea BRDF option, new MW cloud liquid water permittivity parameterisations, new PC-RTTOV coefficients enabling all trace gases and aerosols, and a much improved implementation of the HTFRTC PC-based model in RTTOV.
