CNRM Emissivity Estimates
Data available |
-
The emissivity model
described in Karbou 2005 (IEEE TGRS) is
available: it allows the estimation of land
surface emissivity at AMSU frequencies with an
angular parametrization (emissivity at
different fields of view). Karbou, F., 2005,
Two microwave land emissivity
parameterizations suitable for AMSU
observations, IEEE Trans on Geoscience and
Remote sensing, vol. 43, no 8,
pp. 1788-1795
-
The emissivity atlases are
available for AMSU and SSMI (monthly means,
weekly means (under request)) from 2006 to
date.
-
The so-called "dynamical
method" for deriving the land surface
emissivity at microwave frequencies is
interfaced with RTTOV in the common core code
of ARPEGE (Météo-France) and IFS (ECMWF) and
will be tested with CRTM in the near
future.
-
monthly mean climatologies
from 2006 onwards will be added to the website
soon.
